TANIA

SENIOR SPEECH PATHOLOGIST

Welcome — I’m so glad you’re here.

My journey into Speech Pathology began with a deep passion for helping others communicate and connect. Over the past 18 years, I have had the privilege of working across schools, community settings and Telehealth, both internationally and here in Australia, which I now proudly call home.

I am passionate about partnering with children and their families to build meaningful communication skills in ways that feel practical, positive and empowering. I have extensive experience supporting children with complex and developmental needs and take pride in creating individualised therapy programs tailored to each child’s unique strengths and goals.

As both a clinician and the founder of So to Speak, my vision is to create a warm, supportive space where families feel understood and confident in their child’s progress.

I look forward to welcoming you and your child and supporting you every step of the way as we work toward stronger communication and celebrate each success along the journey.

I became a qualified Speech Pathologist and Audiologist in 2007 and have the honor of working with both children and adults in various environments, such as schools, hospitals, community services, and private practice.

Over the years, I've built a comprehensive skillset, including my experience as a Behaviour Support Practitioner. This role has enhanced my understanding of the intricate links between communication, behavior, and self-regulation, allowing me to approach therapy in a thoughtful and holistic manner.

I am dedicated to assisting children in discovering their voice and gaining the confidence to communicate their, desires, and needs. Witnessing how communication can create opportunities not only for individuals but also for their families is what makes my work so fulfilling.

I look forward to meeting you and your child guiding you both on your communication journey.

SHAHN

SPEECH PATHOLOGIST

I completed my Bachelor’s degree in Speech Pathology and have always known I wanted to work with children. Before becoming a Speech Pathologist, I worked as a support worker and swim instructor, supporting children of all abilities. These experiences strengthened my passion for helping children build confidence and achieve their goals.

I love working alongside children and their families to support communication in ways that feel practical, positive and empowering. There is something incredibly rewarding about helping a child grow their communication skills and giving them the tools to express themselves with confidence.

I am passionate about creating therapy sessions that are engaging, encouraging and tailored to each child’s unique strengths and interests. I believe therapy should feel motivating and meaningful, while still supporting real and lasting progress.

Supporting young children has always been at the heart of what I do! With a background in both Early Childhood Education and Occupational therapy, I bring a strong focus on play, connection and building foundational skills in ways that feel engaging and meaningful.

I have worked as a Kindergarten teacher, OSHC coordinator, therapy assistant and whole brain development coach, and I especially enjoy supporting fine motor development and independence in everyday tasks. I love problem-solving and finding creative ways to build on each child's strengths while working through what feels tricky.

Seeing children grow in confidence and watching families and schools notice those changes is the most rewarding part of my job.

I can't wait to meet you and your child and work together to build skills, confidence and independence every step of the way!

SKYE

ALLIED HEALTH ASSISTANT

I am currently studying Speech Pathology and absolutely love being part of a team that supports children and families in such meaningful ways.

With a background in early childhood education and experience in the disability sector, I bring a playful, nurturing approach to every session. I am passionate about creating a safe, fun and supportive space where children can feel confident to learn, connect and express themselves- in whatever way works best for them!

At So To Speak, I work closely with our Speech Pathologist to support children's communication goals through engaging, evidence-based activities. Whether it is playing games, getting creative with craft, or building social skills through group work. I love seeing each child's personality shine.

I feel so lucky to be part of each child's journey- and I can't wait to meet you!

Supporting children and families has always been close to my heart.

As an Allied Health Assistant, I bring both professional training and lived experience to my work. I hold my Allied Health Assistant qualification and have many years of experience in massage therapy, giving me a strong understanding of movement, regulation and body awareness.

While living in South Africa, I ran a baby sensory program for mums and their babies, which deepened my passion for early development and empowering parents with practical, confidence-building tools. As a mum of three, I understand the different stages of childhood from guiding parents through early milestones to connecting with teenagers and helping them feel supported and understood.

I love working across all age groups. Families often describe me as calm, fun and motivating. I aim to create a positive, encouraging space where children feel confident and parents feel supported every step of the way.
